Wow, another 17 inches

Yet another storm (I think it is number 6 or 7) hit the East Coast. We're about halfway to beating the record (75 inches in 1995) but that is one record that doesn't interest me at all. No thanks!

Mike is clearing out the driveway but I'm glad to say his office is closed today. Not sure if I'll have work tonight. I guess it depends on how well the driveway there gets plowed. I was already off on Tuesday.

See the Topsy-Turvy in the back of the bottom photo? In the summer, I have to reach up to pour water in it. I'm 5'2" tall. That puts the amount of snow in the back yard at nearly 3 feet.

Oh, yeah, it's a good day to stay home, watch TV and do some crafting.

Happy Birthday to Me

I am 55 years old today. Mike and the kids are going to get me either a Nook or a Kindle--my choice. I have to do a little research.

We're going to a Chinese buffet for dinner. Everyone except Nick will be there. Unfortunately, Nick had to work. I should have told him ahead of time to plan to be off. The other 3 work but will be out by then, and Erick will be there, too. It should be fun.

It was pouring snow this morning but it has stopped. There's a possibility of another N'oreaster (or however you spell it) but at least I still get to go out for my birthday dinner.

Poor Shadow

Katherine and I took Shadow to the vet today. It was just for some grooming and they found he has a bad ear infection. I thought that ear looked somewhat red, although he wasn't digging at it. He is on meds now and goes back next week for a follow-up. Right now he is cuddling under a blanket next to me. He seems okay so hopefully the meds will help.
